So here are some pictures of Nicole Richie and Joel Madden out and about, showing off Nicole’s engagement “ring” (and by ring, I mean “piece of thread”). If I were Nicole Richie, I’d probably be too embarrassed to even go out in public with that thing on. And if I absolutely had to go out, I’d at least try to keep it hidden in my pocket/under my coat/in my vagina, rather than show it off. I guess he got her such a small ring because her finger would break off from the weight otherwise.

Have they officially become engaged? I am not so sure that is an engagement ring. It looks like “just a ring” to me.
