So since Beyonce didn’t win any Golden Globe awards, her father, Matthew Knowles, has pulled the race card. Surprise surprise.
Knowles told reporters back stage at the Beverly Hills Hilton right after the Golden Globes show ended that his daughter was outcasted and overlooked by a bureaucratic good old boy system that is still alive in 2007 as it was in 1967. “Today is MLK’s birthday and it saddens me to say that things have not changed for blacks. Working class blacks and blacks in Hollywood are still being discriminated against. We still have a long way to go,” he said.
Now, to be honest, I’m not sure if Beyonce can really be considered black. Her skin seems to get whiter and whiter each year so she can appeall to a larger demographic. As for this comment, all I have to say is: “What a fucking moron”. Maybe people don’t like his daughter because, you know, her acting talent is about the same level as a cardboard box. And seeing as how Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Hudson, and the movie Dreamgirls all won awards, it just shows how ignorant Beyonce’s daddy really is.
