Kristin Cavallari might play Daisy Duke in a prequal to the Dukes of Hazzard.

Kristin Cavallari is being tipped to take over Jessica Simpson’s role in the new ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ movie.

The ‘Laguna Beach’ beauty, who has been romantically linked to the actress’ estranged husband Nick Lachey, is believed to be wanted by movie bosses to play Daisy Duke in the proposed prequel.

Producer Bill Gerber told America’s People magazine: “I like her innocence and her beauty, she is at the top of my list.

“She will fill those hotpants well. I would like to get a new cast for the prequel.’

First of all, the main reason 99% of the people I know went to see Dukes of Hazzard was to see Jessica Simpson looking really, really hot in really, really skimpy outfits. If Kristin takes the role for the prequal, the whole movie franchise will lose the basis of its appeal. Plus, doesn’t poor Bill realise that nobody likes Kristin Cavallari anymore?
